SDE Featured Presenter

Debra is an award-winning children’s author and illustrator. Her first book, On the Day You Were Born, was a Reading Rainbow Feature Program for PBS. Debra worked as Director of Animation with the Minnesota Orchestra’s NotesAlive! label to produce their first video which won the Andrew Carnegie Medal, the American Library Association's highest honor for a children’s video. Performing the narration to the symphony has taken her across the USA, and most recently to Italy.
