Madonna University Credit
Madonna University's Professional Development Program is offering graduate credit to participants in the SDE programs. Madonna University is fully accredited by both the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. You may earn 1-6 semester hours of graduate credit (15 contact hours = 1 graduate credit) for attending SDE programs and completing a paper describing how you might apply the knowledge in your work position. These credits are non-degree graduate credits which are designed to be used to satisfy the requirements of certificate renewal and salary increase. The tuition is $150 per semester hour. Antioch University Seattle Credit
Conferences and Seminars:
Apply exciting concepts from an SDE conference or seminar in your classroom and receive Antioch University Seattle continuing education credit. Two to five graduate-level quarter-system continuing education credits are available for program attendance and completion of additional assignments. For details, see syllabus/application form. The number of credits is dependent upon the number of days of attendance at the SDE conference or seminar. Tuition for the Antioch registration is $45 per quarter-system credit. Note that these professional development units are not part of a degree program but instead are primarily used for professional advancement (such as salary increment steps and recertification). Students should seek approval of appropriate district or college officials before enrolling in these courses to satisfy any degrees, state credentials, or local school district requirements. Antioch University Seattle is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (30 N. Online Courses:
Earn graduate-level continuing education credits in conjunction with Staff Development for Educators online courses for teaching professionals. Build on the knowledge gained in the SDE online course by completing additional reflection papers and implementing new skills and concepts in your own classroom. Earn five graduate-level quarter-system continuing education credits (equivalent to 3.3 semester-system credits). Tuition for the Antioch registration is $225. Chapman University Credit
Chapman University is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools
and Colleges. One to four semester units of graduate elective credit (for a 1- to
4-day Seminar, respectively) are available for an additional fee of $65 per semester

Online Courses:
EARN 1 or 2 GRADUATE LEVEL CREDITS
By completing an SDE/ed2Go online course you have the opportunity to earn one university credit or earn two university credits by completing the course and developing practical activities based on the course.
Credit Information

Early Childhood Educators
IACET CEUs are available for those participants seeking renewal credit for their early childhood certificate. Please stop by the registration area, sign in the blue credit binder and circle “IACET transcript needed”.
American Speech and Hearing Association
SDE programs may be used to meet the ASHA certification maintenance requirement if you determine that (1) the content is relevant to your area of practice and your practice setting and (2) you are in your 3-year maintenance interval. You do not need prior approval from ASHA to use this activity.
State Continuing Education Credit
SDE provides state-approved
continuing education credit in most states. In any state where educators seek graduate
credit rather than CEU's see Chapman University and for graduate continuing
education credit see Antioch University.
Please check with your district for advanced approval for graduate or
state credit. Click on your home state for
details about receiving continuing educational credit in your state.
Unless otherwise noted you may use the Certificate of Teacher Training
that you will receive at every SDE program for verification of contact
hours. Contact hours are based on “seat time” where an educator is
engaged in learning. Breaks and lunches do not count as contact hours.
